313 Aaganbadi ‘Bal Shiksha Kendra’ to begin from August 28
WCD Minister Smt. Imarti Devi to inaugurate ‘Bal Shiksha Kendra’ from Gwalior
Gwaliorl : One Aaganbadi Kendra will be developed as ‘Bal Shikska Kendra’ in each block of the state. In the first phase, Bal Shiksha kendras are being started in the selected 313 Aaganbadi Kendras on August 28. The Minister for Women and Child Development Smt. Imarti Devi will inaugurate Bal Shiksha Kendra from the Aaganbadi Kendra of Jhalkari Bai Park, Resham Mill, Gwalior on August 28 at 10.00 a.m.
Regulation, monitoring and evaluation of Pre-Primary institutions would become possible for overall development of children upto 6 years of age in government and private sector of the state through Bal Shiksha Kendras. At the state level, Pre School Education Policy and regulatory guidelines are also being made.
A month-wise syllabus for 19 subjects has been prescribed for children between 3 to 6 years of age of Anganwadi centers. The session includes self-identification, my home, personal hygiene, colours and images, temperature and environment, animals and birds, means of transport and safety rules, our helpful weather and children's confidence and our festivals. According to the age group of children from 3 to 6 years, 3 Activity Work Books have been prepared in Bal Shiksha Kendra. Shishu Vikas cards have been made to monitor the development of children.
Guidelines for Aaganbadi workers
In the Bal Shiksha Kendra, information has been provided for the Anganwadi workers about the activities to be undertaken for children throughout the year along with monthly and weekly calendar. Under this, Shishu Vikas cards have been prepared according to the age group to observe the development of children of 3 to 6 years. Certificates are provided to children at the time of leaving Aaganbadi and PSE kit every year. State-level master trainers have been trained by the state resource group trained by the NIPCDD. Supervisors are being given 'Hands-On' training by these trainers. Aaganbadi workers and assistants are being trained by the supervisors.
Education through Sports and Games
In Aaganbadi Shiksha Kendras, there will be daily activities for physical and mental development of children through sports and games. This includes activity games, creative plays or mimicry games, group and rules bound games. Different children activities will be organized at these centers on the basis of sports. Every day 3 to 4 hours at the centers are scheduled for pre-school education. A time period of 15 to 20 minutes has been fixed for children for single activity because children of 3 to 6 years age group are unable to concentrate on single activity longer than this period.
Room arrangement
To attract children, colorful decoration will be made at the Aaganbadi Bal Shiksha Kendra. Charts, posters, cutouts etc. will be put up on the walls of the room. Material made by children will also be displayed. For large group activities a stage will be arranged in a corner of the room, where children would be able to perform different kinds of activities. The environment inside the room of the Child Education Center has been designed according to the interest and developmental needs of children. Different corners such as doll house corner, music corner, stories corner, science and environment experimental corner have been made for children to play.
